A major organisation in Qatar requires a Media and Communications Coordinator with UK experience to provide support to the VP Administration across the communications spectrum through the creation, verification and documentation of all media activities related to the VP Administration. The job holder will also support the VP Administration across a number of companies and institutions in which the VP Administration is either the Chairperson or Board Member or Committee Member. The job holder will manage the media and communications plan by coordinating such activities with the relevant staff and with those working in the companies. The job holder will be responsible to ensure that all communications materials are received and reviewed in a timely manner as well as ensuring the proper documentation of all material that is related to VP Administration in his capacity as Chairman, Board Member or Committee Member - In collaboration with the relevant media offices or the appropriate representatives internal and external to the oprganisation or any other office as deemed necessary, collate the media plans and prepare a comprehensive schedule for VP-Administration - Develop a media plan for VP-A taking into consideration the schedules from the relevant offices (Companies, Centers). - Ensure the timely receipt of all media (press releases, conferences, interviews and the like) commitments for VP-Admin and update VP-Admin in a timely manner ensuring adequate time is available for a comprehensive review and feedback of the material. - Coordinate with the offices of all the relevant companies, centres and or any other office, to ensure arrangements for press conferences and media events are arranged in a timely fashion and have taken into consideration input from VP-Administration - Review and edit press releases as needed - Prepare press releases when needed - Monitor press and publications for material related to the above companies and summarise for VP-A on a periodic basis - Document all press release and materials - Document all material related to the VP-Admin. in his capacity as Board or Committee member - Provide Document Management Support to the Office of VP Administration. - Maintain a database of newspaper, magazines and other periodical contacts. - Establish relationships with Media, event management and communications vendors - Ensure that all relevant media publications and press releases are carried in the print and non print media externally and internally to the organisation - Follow up on all correspondence that is relevant Undertake any additional tasks assigned by VP Administration.
